Membre Bio:
I'm a poet mainly, a hobby painter and woodwooker, and I love design by nature, recently moving into jewelry design (I'm incredibly fond of working chain maille; it's relaxing, rewarding, and incredible once you see your finished product). Of course, I have many other interests--sports, art, philosophy, games, photography--so it's hard to say that I'm really one thing or another, to be honest. Lately, I have been channeling my energy--and my love of color and design--into making beads and other jewelry components out of polymer clay. I find that this medium has a rich variety of colors, it mixes well to create new colors, and by using an age-old technique called "caning" you can create the most intricate, detailed pieces, from lifelike flowers to kaleidoscopes. Truly a fun and enjoyable way to express an artistic bent.
